CURRICULUM

TODDLER CURRICULUM

Our toddler curriculum focuses on a daily story of the day, art, music, small and large motor skills,
sensory, and self help. Listed below are these activities and what they do for your toddler.

Daily Story: Children develop language by hearing it. Books allow your child to develop early
language skills, and encourage them to love books.

Art: Art helps to develop your child's independence. It also strengthens your child's small motor skills
with the use of crayons, scissors, and markers.

Music: Children learn so much through song and dance. This allows your child to exercise through
dance and is an easy for your child to learn their days of the week, ABC's, and etc.

Small and large motor skills: Through these activities, your child will learn how to develop their
muscles in their hands with the small motor skills, and learn to develop muscles in their legs and
arms with the large motor skills. Small motor would include art, and large motor includes outside
play, and dance.

Sensory: Children learn to discover the world around them with their senses. Everyday your child
will be given the opportunity to do so. Through nature walks and field trips, hearing new sounds
through music, tasting a new food, and much more!

Self Help: Toddlers are in the stage of be very independent, and we love to support that. Your child
will have daily opportunities to learn to do things for themselves such as putting on their jacket and
washing their hands.

We do believe that children are our future, and to have a bright and successful future, they
must be taught. Incorporated into our program is a toddler and preschool curriculum. We
want all children to learn and develop correctly while they are in our care; therefore every
curriculum is designed to be age and developmentally appropriate. Each week we
concentrate on a theme. Many of our activities revolve around this theme (stories, crafts,
games, puzzles, music, etc.). We believe that learning should be fun and enjoyable!

Curriculum

We Care about your child's Development

Ashley's Angels believes in the development of every child in our care. Our
main focus is to ensure that children are not only developing, but that they are
developing correctly. In doing so we offer an infant, toddler and preschool
curriculum because we feel that children must be challenged to develop
correctly. To monitor your child's development, an assessment test will be done
on your child upon enrollment. This will allow us to see where your child is
developmentally, and what things we will need to work on with your child. We will
continue to run this assessment test quarterly, which will ensure that we are
aware of your child's development at all times!

Infant Curriculum:
Our infant curriculum consists of Art, Sensory, Language, Books, Discovery/Exploration and Music that
surround a weekly theme. Infants are also worked with individually on a daily basis on milestones that they are
trying to reach. We understand that children develop at different paces, but we are here to help them reach
those goals, and accommodate them in any way we can. Having a small staff-to-child ratio ensures your child's

Toddler Curriculum:
Our toddler curriculum consists of Story of the day, Art, Sensory, Self-help, Discovery/Exploration,
Language/Literacy, and music that surround a weekly theme. Toddlers are very active in which they are
learning to walk, talk and do things for themselves. We support those milestones, and help children in all areas
to prepare them for our Pre-K curriculum.

Preschool Curriculum:
Our Preschool curriculum consists of a story of the day, Art, Sensory, self-help, Language, Math,
fine/gross motor, Geography and Science and self help and independence. Our goal for our preschoolers
is to appropriately prepare them for kindergarten. We monitor their development to ensure that they are
ready for the next stage of their lives. Having a small preschool classroom and daily one on one attention
ensures that our preschool children are ready to succeed!

Weekly Bible Class:
Our Bible class curriculum consists of a Biblical Story, children's bible songs, scripture reading, memory
verse, and an art. Weekly we will discuss a biblical character and we will focus on how that character
made Good choices or bad choices. We want to instill good moral values for the children in our care, and
we know that the bible has everything needed to live a good life.
There is a separate class for families who do not want their children participating in the bible class

Pre-School Curriculum:
Our Preschool curriculum consists of a story of the day, Art, Sensory, self-help, Language, Math,
fine/gross motor, Geography and Science and self help and independence. Our goal for our preschoolers
is to appropriately prepare them for kindergarten. We monitor their development to ensure that they are
ready for the next stage of their lives. Having a small preschool classroom and daily one on one attention
ensures that our preschool children are ready to succeed!
